EDRG 3321 presentations
Today we had two presentations that were given in class. One was about 4 different stories in one genre. The four ladies that presented did an awesome job. The little doll with lamb was a great illustration and the children will love to see the puppet and little lamb. When Karen was talking about grace and in her story and then at the end of their presentation sang Amazing Grace I thought was very good. What a way to bring in morals and values in the classroom with out bringing up the subject that is so not aloud in school. I though this group did an excellent job.

This book is written by Barbara Seuling and illustrated by Paul Brewer.
This book is about Robert who it is his birthday and trying to blow out his candles and his brother replaced them with trick candles and Robert wished that his brother would stop treating like a dumb little kid.
The book Muggie Maggie written by Beverly Clearly is about Maggie who writes cursive messy and does not want to continue to write in cursive and refuses. Her teacher makes her the messenger however the messages are in cursive and Maggie believes that they are about her and now she says she has a problem.
Cleary's usual perception and understanding of children, her ability to appeal to readers on several levels and her humor are enjoyable to read.

First, the girl who can ride teaches her sister to ride and then they enter a race. Amy is afraid to jump in the show and will Lucky be brave enough to help her make the jump. Cute book my daughter has read this book several times. Blog for week of Nov 19
I was not in class today. However, I heard that the presentation of the ratti tat book was good. One of my classmates was talking about it to me. How they made a play with puppets and even had bloppers and edits at the end of the skit. Said it was good and very cute. Wish I had been there for it.

Is a poster board that will have the different types of food that they eat, and where they live and how they live. I am using the poster board so that the kindergarten class will be able to see the visual and place words with pictures. Hopefully, the poster board comes out great!

EDRG 3344 Star Trek
This was a painful class day for me. I don't like Star Trek and vowed to never watched it. However, it was a good example for the class and what we were talking about. I choose the question Is Captain Dathon's sacrifice worth it? Why?
Yes, I think that the Captain's sacrifice was worth is. He was trying to communicate between the two and knew that this would make it possible for them to. He wanted to let the other ship crew know that they were not hostile and wanted to be able to communicate with other people beside themselves. In the beginning both ships did not know what each other was saying and when the captain from both of the ships were beamed down each of the captain's started to put things together. So yes it was a huge sacrifice but a well worth one.

EDRG 3344 Descriptive Piece
I know I am behind on this, I hit a wall and really could not figure what to do. So, today I sat down and devoted the whole day to getting caught up and pushing threw to complete my work. So for my descriptive piece I am writing a descriptive poem. I have kindergarten for my age group.
Frogs
I am different colors from green, brown, grey, orange, blue, yellow, and purple.
I like to eat bugs and worms.
I live near lakes, ponds, and streams.
I use my sticky tongue to catch for my food.
I like to jump from one spot to another.
What am I?
A frog that’s what!

My daughter loves to read this book called
Junie B., First Grader Cheater Pants
by Barbara Park
This book is about Junie who has all the answers when it comes to cheating. So she thinks. Some of the questions she asked herself, What about copying someone else homework, what is a friend shares an answer with you is that cheating? Great book for a first-grade read aloud. Kids would enjoy it as well as a moral lesson in it and they wouldn't even know it.
Another author is Ellen Miles, The Puppy Place Where every puppy finds a home Princess
