EDRG 3321 Little Red Riding Hood Ch 5

EDRG 3321 Little Red Riding Hood

Wow! I had not heard of the original story of the Little Red Riding Hood. I would have never thought of reading this version to my daughter. As a child, I remember my mother and father reading me fairy tale stories but nothing like this one ever. However, the different symbolizes throughout the story would be a good thing for the high school level. It would allow them to look deep into the writing and pick out the different symbolism throughout the whole story. In the story it talks about the bzou who asks the girl when she comes in is she is hungry to cook up the meat which was her grandmother and is she was thirsty to drink the wine which was her grandmother’s blood. When it talks about the girl taking different pieces of clothing off and throwing it into the fire it resembles her moving on to an adult woman. It is all symbolic and relates to something in life and moving on. Quite interesting never had heard a different version before class.

I like the point you made about using it for the high school level. Good job.
